Irwin realised that stresses at are finite and subsequently introduced Stress Intensify Factor(SIF). This factor used to determine this plastic zone size. The a special case of notch. In paper new proposed formula called “Modified Irwin’s Model” based on model can be will verified using numerical element simulation validated Von-Mises Tresca Criteria.
